Telvoip showcased its AI-powered omnichannel communication solutions at Hotel Expo Kenya 2026, demonstrating how connected technology can help hotels improve guest communication, streamline operations and deliver better customer experiences.
Nairobi, Kenya - August 2026
Telvoip joined hospitality leaders, technology providers and industry professionals at Hotel Expo Kenya 2026, showcasing how smarter, connected communication can help hotels deliver better guest experiences.
Held at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) from 20–22 August, the expo brought together players from across the hospitality ecosystem under the theme “Bridging East Africa With Global Hospitality Innovations.” Held alongside the Africa Food Show, the event created a meeting point for hoteliers, restaurateurs, technology providers and other organisations shaping the future of hospitality across the region.
For Telvoip, the conversations throughout the three days reinforced a simple reality: technology may be changing hospitality, but communication remains at the heart of the guest experience.
Bringing Connected Guest Communication to Life
Throughout the expo, visitors to the Telvoip stand experienced live demonstrations of the company’s AI-powered omnichannel contact centre platform and explored how hotels can bring customer conversations across voice, WhatsApp, email and webchat into one connected environment.
For hospitality teams, where a guest may call about a reservation, follow up through WhatsApp and later send an email, having that context available in one place can make a significant difference. It helps teams respond faster, reduces fragmented conversations and creates a smoother experience for both employees and guests.
The demonstrations also highlighted Telvoip’s AI-assisted capabilities, including interaction summaries and tools designed to help teams manage customer conversations more efficiently.
“Hospitality is built around experiences, and communication plays a major role in shaping those experiences,” said Sheila Andoi, Head of Communications & PR at Telvoip. “From the first booking enquiry to requests during a guest’s stay and even the follow-up afterwards, people expect communication to be quick, convenient and consistent. Hotel Expo gave us an opportunity to have those conversations directly with hospitality teams and demonstrate what connected communication can look like in practice.”
Technology, Communication and the Future of Hospitality
Telvoip’s participation went beyond the exhibition floor.
Reinhardt Angira, Engineering Team Lead at Telvoip, participated in a panel discussion exploring how technology is enabling and transforming the hotel industry.
The conversation looked at the growing role technology plays in improving operational efficiency, supporting hotel teams and creating more seamless experiences for guests.
For Reinhardt, however, the opportunity for hotels is not simply about adopting more technology. It is about using technology to remove friction from the guest journey and enable people to deliver better service.
“Almost every hotel experience depends, at some point, on communication,” said Reinhardt Angira, Engineering Team Lead at Telvoip. “A guest is making a reservation, confirming an arrival time, requesting a service, asking a question or sharing feedback. Technology should make each of those interactions easier, not more complicated. When hotels connect their communication channels and give their teams the right context at the right time, technology becomes an enabler of a much better guest experience.”
His participation reflected a broader theme that emerged throughout Hotel Expo Kenya 2026: technology delivers the greatest value when it strengthens human service rather than replacing it.
For an industry built around people and experiences, the future is not simply about becoming more digital. It is about using technology to make every guest interaction more connected, responsive and personal.

Taking the Technology Directly to Hotel Decision-Makers
On Day Two of the expo, Telvoip took the product experience a step further with a dedicated live demonstration led by the company’s Head of Technology for hotel decision-makers and other industry professionals.
The session moved beyond conversations about digital transformation to demonstrate what connected hotel communication can look like in practice.
Attendees were taken through how Telvoip brings voice, WhatsApp, email and webchat conversations into one environment, allowing hotel teams to have greater visibility and context when managing guest interactions. The demonstration also explored how AI-assisted capabilities can support teams in handling conversations more efficiently and reducing some of the manual effort involved in managing high volumes of enquiries.
For the hotel decision-makers in the room, the session connected the technology to familiar hospitality scenarios - from reservations and pre-arrival enquiries to in-stay requests, service follow-ups and post-stay engagement.
The live demonstration was also an opportunity for participants to engage directly with Telvoip’s technology team, ask questions and explore how the platform could fit within different hotel operations and customer experience environments.

One Guest, Multiple Channels, One Experience
Today’s guests do not necessarily think about communication in terms of separate channels. They simply use whichever channel is most convenient at the time.
A booking enquiry might begin with a phone call. A guest may later confirm their arrival through WhatsApp, send an email with an additional request and reach out again during their stay.
For hotels managing these conversations across different systems, that can create fragmented experiences. Staff may lack visibility into previous interactions, responses can take longer and guests may find themselves repeating information they have already provided.
Telvoip’s omnichannel approach is designed to address that gap by giving customer-facing teams greater visibility across conversations while allowing guests to continue engaging through the channels they already use.
This was one of the key themes in conversations at the Telvoip stand, where hospitality professionals explored how connected communication infrastructure could support their customer experience strategies.
Building Better Conversations
As hospitality businesses continue investing in digital transformation, communication infrastructure will remain an important part of how that technology translates into real customer experience.
Hotel Expo Kenya 2026 gave Telvoip an opportunity to do more than showcase its technology. It created space to listen to the challenges hospitality teams are navigating, demonstrate practical solutions, exchange ideas with industry leaders and contribute to conversations about what the next generation of guest experience could look like.
And while the channels and technologies will continue to evolve, the objective remains remarkably simple: make it easier for businesses and their customers to communicate.
For Telvoip, that means continuing to build technology that connects conversations while helping the people behind those conversations deliver better experiences.
